Nationwide Building Society in the village put up notices on Saturday to say that they will closing this office at the beginning of May. Nationwide provides a valuable service to many in the village and it’s loss would be sorely felt. Bagshot Society is collecting a petition for Nationwide to stay open in Bagshot and you can sign the petition electronically by emailling your name and address to nationwideBSpetition@bagshotvillageplan.org.uk.

I think it is terrible that the Nationwide is planning to shut its branch in Bagshot village. The service is vital of importance to local people who rely on it for their banking needs.
